The most popular rapper of Israel is under fire lately by different producers and artists. Subliminal is being accused of copying music, taking credit and receiving royalty money for songs he didn’t compose or lyrics he didn’t write alone.
Producers claim that Subliminal doesn’t even know how to play an instrument and therefore its impossible for him to be the composer. After negotiations between the parties, the producers didn’t go to court and the problems were settled.
Accusations were also made by the members of T.A.C.T., which is a group of united artists under control of Subliminal. These accusations were mainly focused on promises made by Subliminal about releasing their solo albums. Former member Ilan Babylon of Subliminal’s group T.A.C.T. is taking Subliminal to court and demands 300.000 Shekels for composing songs like Peace In The Middle East, where Subliminal claims he composed it together with Babylon. Subliminal calls Babylon a criminal, and it was his behavior that led him to be kicked out of T.A.C.T. Subliminal didn’t have any comments on the other accusations made by producers or artists. All the trouble around Subliminal proves the star status he has reached. There wouldn’t be anything to gain by accusing an unsuccessful artists. With the accusations on the background Subliminal continues performing in front of a large crowd of fans inside and outside of Israel. Wisely Subliminal concentrates on his music career, which is going very well. His latest album called Just When You Thought It’s All Over has recently been released and is selling very well.
