 Ninet is currently the superstar of Israel. As usual, also she has become the center of attention of the paparazzi, that adore her as much as they hate her. It was a matter of time that the press would search for juicy details about Ninet's life. And they found it. The juicy details are provided by Ninet's ex-boyfriend Nadav Lugasi. He was Ninet’s biggest love and now he decided to share all the (juicy) details about their past relationship.
Nadav decided to share intimate details on his relationship with Ninet in an article published by the magazine Motek from the paper Zman HaDarom on the 27th of October. Nadav starts with details before Ninet became Israel’s New Born Star and continues describing his relationship with her after the contest. Nadav couldn’t resist leaving us with several comments on Ninet her (already finished) relationship with Ran Danker.
Love
Nadav tells that he doesn’t remember his life without Ninet. The two lived only 20 meters away from each other, went to the same school, in the same classes and shared the same school friends. In high school, at the age of 16, they got closer and eventually become boyfriend/girlfriend. Nadav says: “you don’t even notice your falling in love with her. You talk to her more and more, the way she looks at you, the way she smiles and cares about you and without noticing you have fallen in love with her”.
Admittingly, Nadav notes, that Ninet has a big heart and as a girlfriend she will do everything for you. The nickname Nina by which everyone is calling her these days, was invented by Nadav. When he started coming to Ninet’s house her mom Marsel, didn’t allow her to bring boyfriends to sleep over. After a while, slowly the family got used to him and eventually even loved him. At the beginning when Nadav came over to sleep at her house, Ninet’s mom use to sleep with them in the same room. Later on they started to trust him more and Nadav and Ninet were allowed to sleep alone. Which they did a lot! They use to spend 6 nights of the week together. One night he use to sleep at her house and one night she at his. On Fridays Ninet didn’t come, because she was from a religious family (while he wasn’t) and during Shabbat she didn’t turn on the light, watch tv and so on. But they made up the time they were separated from each other by going to Eilat and hang out there. Sometimes just the 2 of them and sometimes with other couples.
Besides going on holiday together, the couple also worked together during their holidays at the same place like wedding halls. They spend lots of time together and Ninet was so crazy about him that when Nadav saw a jeans of 450 Shekels he liked, Ninet took her own working money, asked for a discount in the shop and bought it for him. Ninet started early with writing lyrics for songs. She wrote five notebooks stuffed with songs on how much she loves Nadav.
Separation
What was love for Ninet, seemed to turn in to hate on the side of Nadav. He continues telling how his love for her disappeared, which led to their separation. 
Nadav use to play soccer in the Kiryat Gat soccer team. Every practice Ninet use to come to see him and talk to him. Nadav says it was to much for him. It would take him 15 minutes to ‘get rid of her’ and started telling her not to come to the practices anymore. Ninet (of course) felled insulted by that and told him: “you don’t love me anymore, you don’t want me”. Ninet was so crazy about him that Nadav could make her do and say whatever he liked.
At the army they were both stated in the same base called Natan Base in Beer Sheva. Nadav was shocked when it happened, cause he noticed that she is around him no matter what.
Nadav continues talking about their separation and admits that he treated her very bad and made her want to leave him. He would tell her: “when we go home, when i take the bus you take the train and when I take the train, you take the bus”. Eventually in summer 2002, Ninet became friends (and only friends) with one of her commanders at the base. Once Nadav heard it, he took the opportunity to break up with her. He admits to have used this situation to break his relationship with her. Ninet use to sit and chit chat a lot with her commander, which he didn’t like, but instead of talking to her about it, he used it and dumped her.
For around 4 months Nadav use to see Ninet in the streets of Kiryat Gat and he wouldn’t say anything to her. Never a word. Although Ninet wanted to talk, but he didn’t say anything. Ninet's parents and also his tried to convince Nadav to go back to her, but nothing worked. Ninet use to be in a local band in Kiryat Gat, with Nadav’s sister called Sophie. Everyone in the band noticed that Ninet dropped in her weight, didn’t speak much and use to stand in the window a lot to see when Nadav left or came back, just to look at him.
Nadav started dating another woman 4 months after their break up, whom he doesn’t want to call by name and calls her for now “A”. He and A did all they could to avoid Ninet, by going for example to places where they wouldn’t bump in to her. Once Ninet found out that he was dating A, whom she knew, she started sending him sms messages or would phone him and right away hang up. A didn’t mind it to much. One night Nadav was making love to A and suddenly he received a burst of many sms messages! He confronted Ninet with it, at first she didn’t want to admit she was the one sending them, but eventually she admitted sending all those messages all night.
A Star Is Born
The night the finals of A Star Is Born, Ninet told her dads good friend, while she was nervous for the finals: "Yehuda, I don’t want anyone here, I don’t want to see anyone, I only want to see Nadav". Everyone pressured Nadav to phone Ninet. Ninet’s family, his family, friends and people they know. His folks even stopped talking to him, cause he didn’t want to phone her to calm her down and later to congratulate her for her victory. He couldn’t even sleep at his own house. A week after the competition, with so many people not talking to him and others putting pressure on him, Nadav’s girlfriend couldn’t handle the situation anymore and broke up with him. And also Nadav broke up and decided to phone Ninet. They decided to meet each other and had a long deep serious conversation during their meeting. Ninet told him that the song she sang in the finals when she won, called A Sea Of Tears (originally by Zohar Argov), she chose to sing thinking of him and for him. There were thousands of people in the audience, but Ninet could see only his face while singing.
A week after her wining the competition, Ninet and Nadav were back together. They were back  together, not so much because he started loving her suddenly, but more because all the pressure that was put on him by his and her family. Of course also friends and neighbors and her telling him the things she said. Nadav says that at that time he was still in love with A. It was actually one of the worse times in his life, because he didn’t want to return to Ninet and loved someone else, but her pressure and all the pressure around just broke him up. What amazed him was that people he barely knew or didn’t know at all, people of the ages of 50 and more, came to convince him to return to her cause she loves him so much.
They were back for around a month or more. During this time Nadav doesn’t remember to much, because of the hectic times that people came to congratulate Ninet with her victory and how happy they were that they were back together. Once they all, both families, went to a hotel in Ashkelon and Ninet told in front of everyone that after she won Sophie came to the stage to congratulate her for winning. Ninet told her that she was feeling like Nadav was there and not Sophie
Nadav goes back to the days before he reunited with Ninet and says before he returned to her, while everyone was pressuring him, Ninet’s brother Eyal had a conversation with him. Nadav told Eyal: “I’m going to return to Ninet, but if people start saying I’m back with her because of her fame and success, I will just break up with her and leave”. Eyal assured him that this wasn’t the case. Eventually after a month that they got back together, the same people that convinced him to go back to her, accused him of returning because of her fame and the things she won (like a car). New gossip started when Nadav broke up with her and people started saying that he left her cause he wanted to have revenge. That he wanted to show everyone he can date someone famous and then dump her. Nadav responded to this new wave of gossip by saying that these were pathetic accusations. Those that are really close and of course Ninet herself know that this wasn’t true at all. If Nadav wanted revenge he would open his mouth and shock everyone with many more details he knows on Ninet. He didn’t say anything bad about her in the past, while he was offered lots of money by news papers to ‘sell’ them the inside juicy stories, but he refused to do so.
Ninet’s mother, Marsel, is still very upset with Nadav. Marsel thought Nadav was great for Ninet and wanted them to get married. Of course it didn’t turn out that way. Till this day he hears Marsel saying how disappointed she is that Nadav left her, which he also hears from her family.
Ran Danker
Nadav couldn’t resist to share several comments on Ninet’s relationship with her (already ex) boyfriend Ran Danker. Ran dated Ninet for a while. During that time Ran went to the press and told everyone how much Ninet’s family loves him and took him as their own son. Nadav says that he wasn't speaking the truth. After speaking to her family members and neighbors, he came to the conclusion that Ran said these things only for publicity. Nadav adds that her mother Marsel did love Ran Danker eventually. Even though while they were dating, Ran wasn’t invited to her house for months, not even for a simple visit cause her family were still hoping she would return to Nadav.
Recent Times
Once Nadav went to a dentist in Gan Ha Ir, where he saw Ninet from the window, coming out from a barbershop. He sent her an sms saying: “cool hair cut!”. Ninet phoned him right away and asked: “How do you know?” and told him to come immediately, because she wanted to see him. Of course Nadav went to her and Ninet jumped on him, started hugging and kissing him and called him My Soul on the middle of the street in front of many people and paparazzi.
Nadav told the photographer in the street not to publish these photos. Ninet said that he didn’t have to worry and that she will take care of it. They won’t publish it if you don’t want, Nadav says, because he didn’t want to cause more gossip news, new trouble for her and to prevent any reactions from her family too.
Friends call Nadav many times and tell him to put channel 2 or any other channel on, because Ninet is there. This annoys him a lot, he doesn’t need friends that are still trying to convince him to return to Ninet.
Nadav does hope that Ninet will find someone that will love her and take good care of her. “She looks strong on the TV, but she is really naive and needs people that wont use her”, tells Nadav. Because Ninet was rather naive and innocent, Nadav wasn’t able to get a good connection with her. He says he needs someone that will "challenge him intellectually”.
Nadav is still in good connection with A, his ex girlfriend. She lives now in Miami, the United States. They have remained friends, but only as friends. He hopes that in future he will also be able to move to the USA. Nadav says that when he gets married, whoever that will be, he will surely invite Ninet too.
Nadav Lugasi use to work as a DJ in a club in Beer Sheva. At the moment he is only working as a sales man in a shoes shop located in the Azrieli mall. He is considered by the media as Ninet’s “Mythological Ex Boyfriend", that had a big influence on her.
Ninet’s Response
The reporters were fair enough to give Ninet a chance to respond to the things Nadav has said. Ninet isn't denying much of the things told by Nadav. She only says that she was the one that broke up with him the first time during the military period, and not he with her. When asked for an explanation for it, Ninet didn’t have anything to say. Ninet’s relatives have said that she is hurt by the things he said in the article.
Ninet's album called Barefoot has recently reached Platinum status. She is also dating the hot and popular model/actor Yehuda Levi. So who was Nadav again?
