They were chosen as first place, but it was unsure if they would accept it. It didn't take them a long time and after some pushing..It Is Now Official: The band Teapacks will represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest that will take place in Helsinki the capital of Finland, in May 2007.

The official website of the Eurovision Song Contest reported that yesterday a special expert commity, that had to choose the artist to represent Israel, finished their meeting. After that it was announced that Teapacks have been chosen and became first choice.

At the second place came the young singer Lial Kolet thats already serving as a local musical ambasedor in Europe in recent years.
Third place went to Michel Guriashvili who participated in the show A Star Is Born.

The commity was led by Yoav Ginayi and also included sound experts from the radio and top expierenced artists with a eurovision past like Koby Oshrat, Yardena Arazi, Dafna Dekel.

The band Teapacks will now present four songs to the audience and a profesional comitty. Together the latter two need to vote and choose the song that will represent Israel.
