Celebrate Independence Day

On the 23rd and 24th of April Israel will celebrate it's 59 years of existence. These days will be filled with the greatest events and open air concerts. People all over the country will go out to see the best artist perform and to party!

Independence day in Israel is one of the best days of the year if you enjoy going to concerts of the best Israeli music artists and of course..food! It is the best chance to see biggest stars perform at open air concerts and you can see it all for free. The big cities are the best places to go, offering a great variety of concerts and events.

Tel-Aviv is the main place where the biggest concerts will be at the big HaYarkon Park and the Davidoff Park in Yaffo which is beautifully located near the beach. On the 23rd of April the first performances will be held at the Davidoff Park in Yaffo. The show will start at 21:00 and huge stars like 'Miss Music' Sarit Hadad, the participants of the show Kochav Nolad 4 (Star Is Born), the rapper Avi Mesika and others will perform. If you still have strength and a voice left after this concert, you will surely want to check out the concert the next day at the HaYarkon Park.

Also the Rabin Square will have a celebration on the 23rd of April, called "Public Singing", where old time popular Israeli songs will lead the show. With a special theme like this belongs of course stars like Yehoram Gaon, Adam, Ainat Sarof and Saralay Sharon that will perform all the big hits. The show on Rabin Square will start at 22:00.

At the park Menachem Begin there will also be a show which will start at 20:30 (23rd of April) and will include artists like Izhar Cohen (that won the first Eurovision for Israel), Avi Sinuani, Avihi Medina (one of the most popular lyric writers and composers in Israel) and some local bands.
All the shows at all the different places will be closed with a spectacular show of fireworks!

The big HaYarkom Park offers lots of space for a big stage and lots of food stands on the 24th of April. Still tired from the previous day? No worries, also enough room to just sit (or lay) on the grass and listen to the next big concert to start. At the Hayarkon Park the show will be much longer and will start already at 17:00 till 21:00 with the first round of artists like Shiri Maimon, Shai Gabso, Muki, HaDorbanim, Dafna Dekel and Maya Buskila. A special artist that has recently been added to the list of the early show is again Sarit Hadad!
You will have no time for a break after this show, so you have no choice but to hold it up. Because the next great selection of artists is already waiting to start the second part of the show, which will be from 21:00 till 0:00. Of course what would Independence Day be without a performance of the popular Ninet Tayeb, whom will be followed by the next main act which is Mashina. And if that's not enough, the show will be closed with performances by Rami Kleinstein accompanied by his wife Rita and Ivri Lider. Of course also at the HaYarkon Park the evening will end with an endless show of fireworks!
