Eddie and Gavriel Butler are Black Hebrews, which is a community that believe they are descended from the ten lost tribes of Israel. Most of their members live in the city Dimona, where also Eddie and Gavriel come from. The brothers are recently doing very well and are making progress in their music careers.

The parents of Gavriel and Eddie, and also Gavriel himself, are originally from Chicago, Unites States, and moved to the city Dimona in Israel. Growing up in Dimona, Gavriel focused on performing in his town, while Eddie moved to Tel Aviv to perform there at weddings. They both participated in the band Eden with two other members called Doron Oren and Raphael Dahan. With the band Eden they represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999. 

The latest developments in the career of Eddie Butler got international attention. Eddie got the honor to represent Israel again at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, but this time solo. He won the national preselection in Israel with a song he composed himself and went to Athens to represent Israel with the song Together We Are One. He ended up at the 23rd place, but that didn't stop him. Now Eddie is focusing on his first release singe You Are A Dream.

The same good news is coming from his brother Gavriel, who is also making a name international. Just to name several international performances; in 2003 Gavriel represented Israel in the World Song Festival in Panama City and took 2nd place with his song It's my life. Gavriel also represented Israel in the Song of Songs gospel music festival in Torun, Poland.

In 2004 Gavriel represented Israel in a Tribute to Pope John Paul II Concert in Warsaw, Poland. This concert with the Pope's participation was televised worldwide. Now Gavriel is making even more progress in his career, as a member of the popular hip-hop group T.A.C.T. under the lead of rapper Subliminal. Also he is releasing his first solo single
