Live Earth took over the world on the 7th of July 2007 to fight against global warming. Also in Israel a Live Earth concert was held with a list of great artists performing and around 15.000 people came to watch the concert. The audience was able to see performances of the band Teapacks, Mosh Ben Ari, the band The Fools of Prophecy, Korin Alal and Efrat Gosh all for free! The usual place for these great free concerts is Kikar Rabin (Rabin Square) in Tel-Aviv. The surrounding area was shut for safety reasons and the square itself was covered with..yess..a layer of grass! After some waiting and the crowd getting inpatient, the opening of the concert was done by the band Teapacks. They made the audience goes wild on their single 'Push The Button', with which they represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Festival. After several songs, the next artist to make the audience jump on his raggae vibes was Mosh Ben Ari. All the artists performed several of their most popular songs, which made the audience sing a long as loud as they could. Between the artist performances the big screens were showing other live concerts around the world and disturbing images of the consequences of global warming. A selection of some nice pictures from the concert: |
