Biography Yehuda Saado was born on the 29th of April 1983 in the town of Kiryat Ekron in northern Israel. He is a single son to his parents, who gave birth to him after 16 years of expectations for a child. Since he was a small child, Yehuda was attracted to the family Organ in the house, and learned how to play it at a very young age. During his teenage years he use to play a lot on the keyboards, sing a bit and compose music. When he was 16 years old he also started to get more religious, a thing that has become even more strong with him in recent years. After his military service Yehuda was determined to have a career in the music field and he joined the Rimon school of arts where he studied for a short period. He use to perform also on his Keyboards at various clubs for several years and was focused more on playing and composing than singing, but gradually his interest in singing also grew. This allowed him to become more versatile and explore his abilities as a complete musician. In 2005 when Yehuda was 22 years old his friends, that thought he is a very talented musician, registered him to participate in the 3rd season of the A Star Is Born contest. He didn’t want to go to it and was pressured a lot by his friends till he decided to go and audition. He was elected to participate in the contest and in the summer of 2005 he won the contest, which was broadcasted on Israelis most popular TV channel. At the finals Yehuda sang a very popular song of Shlomo Artzi called Fields Of Iris’s. He sang the song with his special voice in a unique version which was appreciated a lot and loved by the crowd. During the entire show he performed songs with his unique singing style which made people compare him a bit to Amir Benayun, who also sings in a similar style. Yehuda understands why people like to compare between them and why people think they sing in the same style and doesn’t mind the comparison. He also adds and says that his style is more main stream and with much more influence of western rock music. After wining the contest and becoming very popular, one of the main prizes was a contract with the music label Helicon to produce his own album. In 2006 Yehuda started working on his debut album. In the meantime he also participated in many concerts as there was lots of demand for his shows. In September 2006 he won The Ringtone Platinum award after his winning song from the show A Star Is Born, which was downloaded more than 40,000 times. As Yehuda’s popularity grew after winning the show, there was lots of demand for new music and of course big expectations for an album from him. He changed his production company and music label too and spent lots of time at his house in front of the piano and worked for several months on composing and writing songs for his debut album. Later on he worked in the studio with the well known music producer Nadav Biton who was in charge of the production of the album. The first single from the album came out in February 2007, it was named To Funny. The song had instant success and became a top selling single, it was being played a lot on all the radio and music TV stations. The single became the most requested and played video on the Israeli music TV channel. The song is a serious love song, the video clip of the song has religious motives in it, a thing that’s of course natural with Yehuda. In April 2007 his debut album came out, the album is named Naked I Came (The albums name is part of A very famous sentence from the Bible). The album includes 11 songs, and has turned out to be one of the best selling albums in the market. The second single of this album is named Continuing The Chase, which is already A huge hit and has reached the first place on the main music charts. Yehuda is very pleased with his album. The albums style is light classical rock with lots of ethnical touches, he is also planning a tour across the country with a series of concerts for the summer of 2007 and is currently also busy with choosing the instrument players for the shows. He is also getting many propositions, to act in TV shows, for his next albums etc. In his usual modest way Yehuda always hoped to find in the future a serious woman he will marry and hopes to have lots of kids with. This way he wants to compensate his folks, who only had him after many years with no children. Yehuda recently got married to his girlfiend Esther Ifergan. |
