Biography Mosh Ben Ari was born on the 26th of September 1970 in Afula, where he also grew up. As a child he was fascinated by music and loved to visit the local record shop. After growing up and traveling the world, and living in Australia for a while, he returned to Israel and got involved in the music industry. His first major experience in the music world was with the band Sheva (Seven). A band with whom he has recorded so far 3 albums. They produced mostly local ethnical music. The first album of the band Sheva, in which he is the main creator and the lead vocalist, was called A Heavenly Wedding and was released in 1996. After touring the country and starting to have a small fan base they took out their 2nd album in 1999 which was named Day And Night. The band continued the progress and develop in musical terms and ofcourse started to get more attention by the local fans. Since then, they released a 3rd album, which came out right after Mosh his solo debut album. The 3rd album of Sheva was named Garden and recently he started gathering material for the next album with Sheva. After his 2nd album with Sheva, Mosh felt that he has to make an album that will reflect himself. With his friend Amit Carmeli from the band Shotay HaNevoah (The Prophecy Fools) and others, he released his solo debut album in 2001. The album was named Till Me, and it came out under the third most popular music label in Israel, NMC. The album had success and Mosh was played on the radio stations and started touring the country with songs from this album. Mosh believed that the best way to make his music popular and to reach as many people as possible is to perform in front of people all over the country. And he did travel the entire country and performed in many places, which got him recognition from various crowds from all over the country. Later on Mosh started gathering material for his 2nd sold album and in late 2003 started working on it. The album came out in summer 2004 and was named Path (or Way) and had big success. Songs from the album were played a lot on the radio stations and the album reached a Gold Status after selling over 20,000 albums nation wide. After taking out this successful album many artists asked to work with him. He’s considered as one of the biggest local talents in the music industry in recent years, and with his name growing big he wrote and composed songs for many well known and new artists, for example he has written for Din Din Aviv, who’s debut album is having lots of success in the Israeli charts. At the same time Mush worked on his 3rd solo album. The album was recently released (2006) and is called Masa U Matan (Negotiation). The album is having lots of success on the radio stations and in the charts. Songs from it belong to the most played songs in the year 2006, like the song Masa U Matan (Negotiation) the first single and the name of his new album. The second single from the album is called Taking Off and is also showing huge signs of success, as it’s being played a lot on the radio and music TV stations. He has also started touring the country with a show, performing songs from his newest album and currently the shows have lots of success. In some of his songs, as a solo artist and in the band Sheva, Mosh likes to write songs that have a light social criticism, and also write about his personal life. His music is a mixture of pop, light rock with touches of ethnical and oriental music. Mosh is divorced with a child and says about himself that he loves to perform in front of live audience and especially when the performances are open air concerts.
