The song Giant Wheel is an oriental song just the way we like it. A song to dance to and sing a long with. Although Idan his voice sounds a bit young, it is markable that his voice seems rather similar to Eyal Golan his voice.

The following songs called Spoilt and Turn Me On are dance songs. Which is a nice change on the album. Both songs are nice to listen to, although they are rather simple.

When it comes to the ballads on the album, of course Thinking Of Her is far out the best. Asking Just To Be Happy is not my favorite song on the album, I’m close to finding his voice annoying and a bit wining. But on the song The Trail Of Love his voice sounds much better and is a much nicer combination with the slow music.

In the end I just don’t find his ballads very special, I prefer more songs like Inbal which sounds fun and unique on the album. He clearly tried something different with the music going from slow to fast and a bit Greek sounding song.

Overall the album was fun to listen to, but it clearly has a teenagers theme. I don’t really expect adults to listen to Idan his debut album, but then again my guess is that his audience and fans are mostly teenagers.

Although he is not near the level of Eyal Golan, it’s clear that Idan has a special voice like Eyal Golan. Therefore he sounds different from the other mizrahi singers, but you will also have to like his voice in order to like his music. I do think we can expect a lot from Idan in the future.
